Nxt commissions and presents ground-breaking museum installations by pioneering living artists. About the job
As a Nxt Museum Host, you’re at the forefront of the museum, sharing our story in your own unique way. You’ll form a connection with the artworks and engage with our visitors with passion and energy. You thrive on connecting with people and want to make our visitor experience the best possible. You get excited about the future, art and technology - what could, should and might be next.
Key responsibilities:
From scanning tickets and offering curatorial guidance to supporting crowd management, you are the face of Nxt Museum for our visitors.
You take responsibility for staying well informed about Nxt Museum and its programs, building on the knowledge we provide as well as your own passion and curiosity for art and culture.
You are flexible in both scheduling and in working across different roles and positions within the museum.
You are enthusiastic about events and enjoy being involved in their preparation and production.
About you
You’re a confident communicator and natural storyteller who enjoys engaging with people.
You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and support production tasks during both intimate and large-scale events.
You genuinely love hosting and bring experience from hospitality, events, and/or museum environments.
You communicate fluently in English; Dutch is a plus, and any additional languages are welcome.
You’re flexible, adaptable, and open-minded — in how you work, the tasks you take on, and with your availability.
You live in or near Amsterdam.
You have a strong affinity with art, technology, and music, and enjoy being immersed in cultural environments.
You’re curious by nature and excited to keep learning and growing.
You’re available to work weekends and public holidays.
You are available to work throughout December, including the Christmas holidays.
